Poobon: Debut Concert
Tirgan is delighted to present Poobon’s first ever solo live performance at Tammuz Festival! PooBon is an artist, producer, and songwriter. He started his record label in 2018 in order to expand his musical team and help nurture younger talent while building a reputable musical brand. This performance will feature up and coming artists as Poobon’s opening performers, dancers and a DJ. The evening will be continued by Tammuz Festival’s DJ Party at the lobby.

Sina Salimi is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter, fusing elements of different genres of Western music with the enchanting sounds of Santour. This Tammuz, alongside the members of his band, he will be performing songs from his latest album, All of Our Tomorrows.

Black Fish Project
The Black Fish Project is a cross-genre creation by Iranian-Canadian composer Keyan Emami composed for string quartet, clarinet, double bass, percussion, and electronics. In production since 2019, the performance is based on the iconic Iranian children’s story The Black Fish, which tells the story of a fish who wants to know what lies on the other side of his pond. Despite being cautioned and ridiculed for his curiosity, he embarks on a life-changing journey, learning just as much about himself as he does about the world around him.
This performance explores the story of the little fish through the lens of its own protagonist Emami, who draws on his experiences as an immigrant who left his native land of Iran. The soundtrack fuses western classical music, jazz, Arabic maqam music, and fleeting Iranian modal music. All these elements come together to tell the story of the Black Fish through Emami’s unique musical language. The Little Black Fish is the story of any living being that is striving to free itself from its own limitations and discover the world.
پروژه ماهی سیاه
پروژه ماهی سیاه اثری چند ژانری است که توسط کیان امامی آهنگساز ایرانی-کانادایی برای کوارتت زهی، کلارینت، کنترباس، سازهای کوبه‌ای و الکترونیک ساخته شده است. این پروژه‌ی هنری در سال ۲۰۱۹ براساس داستان نمادین ایرانی که برای کودکان نوشته شده و نام آن «ماهی سیاه کوچولو» است خلق شده. «ماهی سیاه» داستان یک ماهی را روایت می‌کند که می‌خواهد بداند آن سوی برکه‌اش چه چیز‌هایی وجود دارد. علیرغم اینکه او به دلیل کنجکاویش مورد اخطار و تمسخر قرار می‌گیرد، سفری را آغاز می‌کند که زندگی‌اش را تغییر می‌دهد و درباره‌ی دنیای اطرافش و همچنین خودش بسیار می‌آموزد.
این اجرا، داستان ماهی کوچولو را از دریچه‌ی نگاه شخصیت اصلی داستان یعنی خود کیان امامی به عنوان مهاجری که سرزمین مادری خود ایران را ترک کرده است و تجربیات او می‌کاود. این اجرا، موسیقی کلاسیک غربی، جاز، موسیقی مقامی عربی و موسیقی سنتی ایرانی را تلفیق می‌کند. همه‌ی این عناصر در کنار هم قرار می‌گیرند تا داستان ماهی سیاه را با زبان موسیقایی منحصر به فرد امامی روایت کنند. ماهی سیاه کوچولو داستان هر موجود زنده‌ای است که می‌کوشد خود را از محدودیت‌های خود رها کند و جهان را کشف کند.
