Based on classic Persian literature, The Shahnameh by Ferdowsi (The Book of Kings), the film follows upstart ruler Zahak’s treacherous rise to the thrown in Jamkard (ancient Persia) and naïve Afaridoun, the young hero who will save the kingdom and people from darkness.
Zahak, who makes a Faustian pact to control the throne, is now haunted by his evil deeds. His recent nightmares and now a told prophecy of how a young man he wronged in the past will rise up against him has him worried and unstable, jeopardizing everything. However, Afaridoun must first conquer his own inner demons before he can battle Zahak’s dark forces to be the hero of Jamkard, restore peace to the kingdom.
The Last Fiction is the first animated feature made entirely in Iran.

Pottery Workshop
To control and organise the workshop in an adequate manner, every eight children will work with one coach. Instructors have already received the necessary training to participate in the workshop. The workshop will continue with the pinch technique, which is the most important part of pottery training for beginners. I have already prepared various shapes that are made with this technique so that the beloved children can find their interest and tendency to make the desired volume with a prepared state of mentality. After building the main body, in the next step, we will connect the details to the original shape, and finally we will pay attention to the built volume and clean it. Depending on the capacity and interest of each child and his speed of operation, 1 to 3 volumes can be made and presented. Finally, the volumes will be packed in pre-prepared boxes and will be ready to be delivered back to their children or their parents. At the end of each workshop, the workshop space will be arranged and cleaned so that it is ready for the start of the next workshop.
Musical Gathering
Participants will explore different musical instruments. They will listen to the story and will create a short music together with the instruments which will provide to them. Music Gathering Workshop strives to inspire people to appreciate the arts, motivate them to play an instrument and educate them on incorporating music to enrich their lives.
This workshop is good for ages 6 and up and it will be in Persian.
Persian Song & Story Circle Time
The Persian Song and Story Circle Time includes interactive activities using songs, music, stories, physical activities, games, and different sensory props, to engage and expose children ages 1 to 6 years old to the Farsi language. The aim of this activity is to cultivate the love of learning Farsi, in kids born and raised outside of Iran. Parents are encouraged to participate in the activities to create beautiful memories for children
