The Black Fish Ensemble is a group of 10 musicians who create the music of Black Fish through improvisation, narration/singing, and a diverse musical language that includes classical, jazz, and Middle-Eastern/Persian music. The ensemble includes: string quartet (2 violins, viola and cello), double-bass, Turkish clarinet, vibraphone, recorded sounds and electronics, and a large collection of percussion instruments. The musicians tell the story of The Black Fish through the unique musical language of its principal composer, Keyan Emami.
